Aarhus School of Marine and Technical Engineering (AAMS)—often still called Aarhus Maskinmesterskole—trains marine and technical engineers and related academy professions. 2. Private house rooms (host family style)
   - AAMS advertises two rooms in a private home about 4 km from campus, sharing a bathroom with each other and sharing kitchen access with the owners.
   - ~30 minutes by public transport or ~15 minutes by bike—confirm exact address when offered.

3. Self-arranged housing
   - Student Housing Aarhus, Kollegiernes Kontor, BoligPortal, Facebook—full flexibility, full responsibility.

Full-degree and Danish students

• Apply to Student Housing Aarhus immediately after admission—seniority matters.
• Aarhus Municipality’s housing guarantee (for eligible new autumn starters in higher education) can help if you meet deadlines—rooms may be outside the centre, but Letbanen + bike still reach Navitas quickly.
• Outer districts (e.g. Gellerup corridor, Viby J) can be cheaper—test the bike route along the harbour before committing.

Why Aarhus Ø works for marine engineers

• Sea trials mindset: you live next to the water, yacht harbours, and industrial quays—great for internship networking.
• Infrastructure: Letbanen stops, bike bridges, supermarkets gradually densifying—still quieter evenings than Latinerkvarteret.

Transport

• Letbanen to Skolebakken / Nørreport hubs, then bike along the harbour promenade to Navitas.
